Major Changes as a Result of the Coronavirus

Due to the Governor declaring a State of Public Health Emergency, the Office of the New Mexico Secretary of State is taking proactive measures and we have suspended all in-person services and transactions without an appointment. This suspension applies to both our Elections Division and our Business Services Division. There will be no further face-to-face processing, with the exception of Apostilles and limited election-related filings.

We encourage all customers to utilize our online resources for filing and submitting documents. All Election Division related questions may be emailed to SOS.Elections@state.nm.us; and any Business Services questions may be emailed to Business.Services@state.nm.us. You may also call our general number at 505-827-3600 with any questions. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation for the safety and wellbeing of the entire community.​
